Dr Chris is the Principal Dentist and owner of Greenacre Dental Surgery. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from Sydney University in 1990, graduating with the University Medal in oral medicine-oral surgery.

After 18 months working in a private surgery, Chris opened his practice at the corner of Waterloo and Wangee Rd Greenacre in April 1992. As the team grew, a modern practice was designed and built from scratch just around the corner on Waterloo Road, opening in August 2007.

Chris was a member of the teaching staff at Westmead Dental School in 1995, mentoring final-year dental students. He remembers his time guiding and supporting the dental students with fondness and has taken the same astute approach to newly registered practitioners joining his practice over the years.

Between 1995 and 2000 he attended several restorative courses with emphasis on cosmetic and reconstructive treatment options, expanding his restorative practice.

In 2010, Chris became a corporate sponsor of the NRL’s Canterbury Bulldogs, being an enthusiastic fan of the club since he was a young boy. For a decade, Dr Papastavros was able to perform emergency and restorative dentistry, as well as oral health education and instruction, on first-grade players, sporting staff and commercial staff.

Over the years, Dr Chris has given informative talks to pre-schools, Kindergartens and senior citizens on oral health promotion and education. He has donated his time and resources to many charity missions, servicing underprivileged communities in New South Wales and overseas. Dr Papastavros enjoys spending his free time with his family: his wife, two daughters and granddaughter, travelling to new places and immersing himself in ancient history.

Chris is committed to the well-being of his patients and developing creative solutions for their dental needs. Whilst Dr Papastavros enjoys the challenge and rewarding outcomes of complex dentistry, he is passionate about general dentistry and maintaining relationships with patients.
