Dr Chris Papastavros | BDS (Hons) SYD.UNI
ASID Accredited (implants)
Invisalign Accredited
Chris received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours from Sydney University in 1990. He also graduated with the University Medal in oral medicine-oral surgery.
After 18 months working in private surgery, Chris opened his small practice at the corner of Waterloo and Wangee Rd Greenacre in April 1992.
As the team grew, the practice moved to a new surgery designed and built from scratch to offer comfort as well as quality and personal dental care to all patients. In August 2007, the new Greenacre Dental was opened and has thrived for over a decade.
Chris has always made the point of staying up to date in dentistry. In 1995 he was on the teaching staff of Westmead Dental School as a mentor to final year dental students. Between 1995 and 2000 he attended several advance restorative courses with emphasis on cosmetic and reconstructive treatment options.
In 2005 Chris commenced his studies in dental implants, obtaining his full accreditation by the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry in October 2007. With this option, Chris can now offer full mouth rehabilitation, combining the disciplines of gum treatment, complex restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry to provide solutions to almost any situation presented to him.
Finally, in February 2008 Chris became accredited for Invisalign, allowing for orthodontic correction with invisible aligners within the practice.
Most recently, he has been accredited with Oventus sleep apnoea treatment to treat patients with sleep-disordered breathing problems, including snoring.
In 2010, Chris became a corporate sponsor of the NRL’s Canterbury Bulldogs, being an enthusiastic fan since he was a young boy. He regularly performs restorative and emergency dentistry on first-grade players and the Bulldogs sporting and commercial team, and continues spreading his passion for oral health and maintenance beyond the walls of the surgery.
He regularly gives talks to pre-schools and senior citizens on oral health promotion and education. Chris and his team at Greenacre Dental are proud to be active members of the community. He is committed to the wellbeing of his patients and creative solutions to their dental needs, and prides himself on developing healthy smiles.
